Excerpts
from The National Health Survey Report,
page II-35-36
Respondents
rated their overall satisfaction with their
insurance plans' co-payments and deductibles,
prescription drug, dental, vision, mental
health, and drug and alcohol coverage. They
also gave ratings of overall satisfaction
with their plan. Nearly three in five (59%)
U.S. residents were satisfied (40%) or very
satisfied (19%) with their medical insurance
overall. Respondents enrolled in Medicare
were more likely than those with Commercial/HMOs
or Medicaid to be satisfied with their medical
insurance overall (72% vs. 62% and 56%).
Those U.S. residents who have never been
without medical insurance were more likely
than those who have had lapses in coverage
lasting two months or longer to be satisfied
with their insurance overall (65% vs. 35%).
