Special Population Assessments

I worked on a project with Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, Allentown, Pennsylvania, to assess the health of the disabled population in their service area, to determine strategic priorities for service
delivery beginning in 2001.

I implemented a strategic planning and program assessment process specific to mental health services in Larimer County, Colorado. This project required an assessment of existing and emerging mental health services, as well as drug and alcohol abuse prevention programs. A strategic plan for a local Coalition to resolve both crisis, as well as long term mental health needs for the entire population was the result of this project. My project with St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and the Bethlehem Area School District included a survey of 1,300 school district children for health status and health related issues as part of developing a community "tithing" program for the hospital. More recent work with St. Luke's includes the development of a business plan for a mobile health van, conducting the South Bethlehem Health Survey, development of a plan for an internal, hospital-based Community Health Department, and facilitation of the Bethlehem Partnership. All of this work was completed over a six month period in 1997.
